Hmmm.

To me this sounds like what ALWAYS happens when you attempt to climb a tall mountain: you fall on your  a few times until you figure out which shoes to wear.

In the case of AutoCAD, there are many positive features inherent in the application. Many of these features are not even possible in Our Favorite Program. Sure, AutoCAD is complex, but it is also attempting to do some very complex things.

If you eliminate everything from AutoCAD but the 2D 'drafting', then sure, it's easy to poke fun, because OF does these basic things better.

But when you grok the full picture of what it is trying to do, it is pretty impressive. And arcane. And difficult. And buggy. But impressive.

OK.

Go ahead. I am wearing my flame-proof suit :-)
